What is it?  You, tell me!

Let's take a look at something different, and examine the engineering involved to make it.

Above you see the side view of three separate pieces of clear plastic used to make up a protective enclosure.  In order to install the batteries, this case has to be opened.  Yet, from the shape of the enclosure, where you think the three pieces come together, they don't.  BTW, only two of the pieces is intended to be seperated, to install the batteries.

Even with the shape edge of a razor blade, to feel around for some kind of opening in their fit, you can't find a place to pry it a part the to install the batteries.  It does look like it is made from one piece of plastic, the fit of the three pieces is so good.

Imagine the engineering, and the precision of the mold making it took, to yield such an end result.

Here, you see the inner side with the electronics inside.  As you can see, it still looks like it's made from one piece of plastic.  Yet, that electronic circuit board had to get in there somehow.

Here is even a closer view of the same side.  Think you know how it comes apart?
Notice the electronics of the circuit board too.

In this view we can see more.  We now can see the fine details in the complexities of the mold that produced the enclosure.  From a close look at the electronics, this too is a very detailed piece of engineering.
I guess we now know what thist is.  It's a Ducan Yo Yo.  A kids toy with a heavy amount of precision engineering covering its design and manufacture for this fine finished product.  We know from the previous picture, where this precision engineering took place.  It was not in the USA, but in China.

Here now is the question.  If China can give us a kids toy, with this kind of precision engineering involved, which sold on sale this Christmas for $1.00,... why can't a high quality reliable vacuum tube be produced with this same kind of precision engineering being applied in its maunfacture, to sell at more than the fair price, of a kids toy.
